INSOMNIUM: 'New Material Will Be Our Main Concern For This Year'
January 15, 2008Finnish metallers INSOMNIUM have issued the following update:
"This spring in INSOMNIUM camp will be dedicated on writing and rehearsing new material which will become fourth INSOMNIUM album. We might do some festival gigs in the summer or might not. However, the new material and the new record will be our main concern and top priority for this year. We have already tried out few new songs, and the things are starting to look promising. Still, we don't want to rush with things but deliver as good album as possible."

Released October 17, 2006, "Above the Weeping World" was recorded at renowned Fantom and Finnvox studios and contains the band's skilled melodic death metal. Stunningly heavier with even further dynamic and melodic variety than that of their previous efforts, the CD "is by far the best INSOMNIUM album," stated vocalist/bassist Niilo Sevänen. "It is the first time we feel we really succeeded in studio. We have nine great tracks on the album. As a band we are very happy with the end result."
